All eyes on the polygon, sitting in silence
It’s size is outrageous, profound
And I with my infinite caches of wonder
Am making my journey around
Here in this polygon, people are moving on
Exploring the different sides
Each side is another invisible boundary
That grows more complex over time
Why are the older ones facing away
As the dance in the middle unfolds?
And slowly, but surely with each passing day
More drift to the edge as the dancing grows old…
Traversing the polygon, easy for anyone
willing and able to move
But as the years pass, all the moving gets harder
And so you eventually choose
Choosing a side to always stand by
Facing the monolith proud
Slowly forgetting the world is behind you
Recalling a movement, but forgetting how…
